Finalist withdraws, chancellor search process put on temporary hold

Patricia B. Kaemmerling and J. Bryant Kinney, co-chairs of the committee conducting the search for Western Carolina University’s next chancellor, have been notified that the finalist who was put forward for approval by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors has withdrawn from consideration for the position.

Meet our Alumni of the Month: Jim Beddingfield! He graduated from WCU in 1967 with a B.A. in Social Science with a concentration in Political Science. He also had taken several business courses and returned in the summer of 1971 to take additional business courses.

Lowell Davis honored by ‘I Have A Dream’ Foundation at gala in New York

Lowell Davis was first introduced to the “I Have A Dream” Foundation as a fourth-grader in Dallas. Now, as Western Carolina University’s associate vice chancellor for student success, that same foundation has recognized Davis for his career achievements.
