Robert Walker has been named the associate vice chancellor for auxiliary enterprises, replacing Keith Corzine who retired Jan. 1 after more than 34 years at the university.
John Eric Powell, a 1991 graduate of WCU’s Emergency Medical Care Program currently working as a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services science adviser, is the recipient of multiple national honors.

N. Leroy Kauffman, a faculty member since 1994, and Susan L. Swanger, a faculty member since 1997, have established separate scholarship funds to provide financial assistance to deserving accountancy students.
Monica Green, from Clyde, has been a Zumba instructor, personal trainer and soon she will be an alumna of WCU. This December, Green will graduate with her bachelor’s degree in marketing as a first-generation college student.
